The Kuwait trade mark office is now accepting trade mark applications claiming Paris Convention priority. Applicants claiming convention priority must submit a certified copy of the trade mark application or registration certificate from which priority is claimed within three months of filing, along with an Arabic translation. Kuwait acceded to the Paris Convention for the Protection of Intellectual Property on 2 September 2014 which entered into force on 2 December 2014. All Gulf Cooperation Council countries are now party to the Paris Convention. (Kuwait trade mark office, 29 December 2014)
